17/10/2007 - The whole family is home

Gabi and William came home on the 5th, but it's taken me this long to get something onto this site.  Both are doing great, and Matthew loves having his new brother around.  Bath time has been interesting - see this clip!

3/10/2007 - William Karl Perkins is born!

William Karl Perkins was born by planned caesarean section on the 3/10/2007 at 3:46pm in Wexham Park Hospital, Slough.  Pictures are available here or if you're having problems try this link instead.  Weighing in at a little under 9lbs, and measuring 58cm long, he's another big boy - just like his brother Matthew.  There are also some pictures of William's original 3D scans here for you to compare him with.  Mum is also doing fine, but is still recovering from the operation.  No news yet of when both can come home, but it will appear here as soon as we know.

26/9/2007 - Impending Baby number Two

Nothing exciting to report so far, but we are expecting number two baby to pop out any day now!  We know it can't be any later than the 3rd October, because we're booked for a c-section.  Text messages are good, if you're trying to find out news.  I can just add you on to the distribution list.

Easter Bunny Picture11/4/2006 - Easter Bunny

Can't let Easter pass without a Easter card for you all.  Quite apt with my close shave with a Proctologist today, and thankfully no operation in that general location.  As for the kidney stones, no one knows what's going on.  I'm going back to work, as it's less painful than a camera up your...

4/4/2006 - Kidney Stones, again!

I've had another operation because I was still in pain after the first.  No stone found this time - but another stent (that's a tube to drain the kidneys) has been inserted in my ureter.  If you're wondering what I'm doing, I'm in pain and trying to work from home.  Visitors are more than welcome, but bring pain killers.  If you've got a small back pain, don't talk to me about it, it's nothing.  You may notice a consistent theme here - my pain is considerably bigger than your pain, and no I don't care what you say!

7/1/2005 - Kidney Stones

No, don't worry - no pictures were taken or will be shown on this web site.  Karl's at home now recovering after the operation, and feel free to drop him a line to say hello, or to ask him silly questions like "don't they zap them with lasers".  If you really want to know what happened, feel free to look at Marc Laniado's web page.

23/7/2005 - Matthew Dylan Perkins is born

Matthew Dylan Perkins was born by emergency caesarean section on the 20/7/2005 at 11:06pm in Heatherwood Hospital, Ascot.  Pictures are available here.  Weighing in at a little under 10lbs, and measuring 58cm long, he's definitely a big boy.  There are also some pictures of the original scans here for you to compare him with.  Mum is doing fine, but is very tired after nearly 14 hours of final labour, and four days of contractions every 15 minutes.  No news yet of when both can come home, but it will appear here as soon as we know.
